Yes. tickets must be purchased in advance. Tours often sell out so we suggest purchasing your tickets early to guarantee availability on your desired tour day. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa, AMEX, or MasterCard from our website or by calling. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.
The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and covers 1-1.5 miles. Most of our stops provide seating, however, you will be on your feet between locations and may have to stand at 2 or 3 stops. We walk at a moderately casual pace and will adjust to what is most comfortable for the group.
Pittsford Food Tour: Parking is available throughout Schoen Place and in lots behind the Public Library. There is also a parking lot located behind the town hall.
Park Avenue Food Tours: Park near the intersection of Park Avenue and Vassar Street. ( Please note posted signs for on-street parking restrictions.)
Neighborhood of the Arts: There is plenty of parking at Village Gate as there are lots and spaces surrounding the building. Arrive early to ensure you get a spot in time to meet the tour.
Our tours are geared more toward adults, however, well-behaved children may join us with a paid ticket. The tour is 3-3.5 hours long and involves standing, walking, and listening. Some children have a limited attention span; therefore the tour may not be appropriate for them. Parents, who know their children best, should consider this and assess their situation individually.
We are unable to accommodate children who are not included in your paid reservation. All participants are required to have a ticket purchased in advance, even if they do not wish to participate in food tastings.

Absolutely not! Our tours combine architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture, and culinary insight into a unique 3-hour experience. Imagine walking through Pittsford village enjoying delicious tastes from unique restaurants and specialty shops while discovering canal-side favorites. Tours are informative, insightful, and fun — not to mention, tasty!
Please be sure to let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Beverages are provided at most stops. At some locations, a host business may offer to serve alcohol to guests over the age of 21. If you are planning to consume alcohol, please have a proper valid ID if asked. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available at all locations. Feel free to bring your own bottled water if you choose.
We do not provide a waiting list. Tour tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%-20%.
Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at selected food-tasting locations.
The tours are held rain, shine, or snow. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We also provide ponchos in case of sudden weather changes or if you do not have your own umbrella. However, we advise to check the weather conditions for your day’s event and dress appropriately.
All locations are wheelchair accessible.

You should bring with you a camera and a small bottle of water. When it’s really hot out, we recommend an application of sunscreen on exposed parts of the body and a lightweight pair of sunglasses. During the cooler seasons, it’s important to wear an extra layer of clothing and consider bringing gloves and a scarf. If it looks like rain we can provide you with a plastic rain poncho.
Due to the policies of various food establishments we visit, pets of any kind are not allowed on the tour.
